PDFPrintE-mail

Our directors Paul and Tracey Simmons recently took part in a charity bike ride for MyelomaUK that raised over 17,000 pounds. The team of cyclists, that was accumulated of family and friends of Rod Alexander who is battling with the disease took part in a 3 day cycle ride from Chepstow in South Wales to Chester, cycling 220 miles and climbing a total of 4200 metres over the 3 days. WELL DONE!

Zoe Meldrum-Craig from MyelomaUK commented: 'Thanks to the supporters like everyone who was involved with the bike ride we have made encouraging progress; better treatments and improved care now mean more patients than ever are surviving five or more years after diagnosis. We truly appreciate the hard work and effort you spent training and fundraising for this challenege. Congratulations on your fantastic achievement.'

MyelomaUK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma. They provide information and support to patients and their families and help myeloma patients live longer, with a better quality of life by accelerating the discovery, development of and access to new treatments. MyelomaUK recieves no government funding and relies almost entirely on voluntary donations and fundraising income.
